Well, actually, I wanted to say a bit about that Alice band.
The Wiki says "A headband is a clothing accessory worn in the hair or around the forehead, usually to hold hair away from the face or eyes. Headbands generally consist of a loop of elastic material or a horseshoe-shaped piece of flexible plastic or metal. Horseshoe-shaped headbands are sometimes called Alice bands after the headbands that Alice is often depicted wearing in Through the Looking Glass." (c) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headband
But you're right that she couldn't have been wearing the plastic or metal one, there was a kind of ribbon.

But also the wiki says that "Alice bands for men have been worn by David Beckham, Nathan Bracken and Ronnie O'Sullivan."
And Beckham wouldn't be wearing ribbons, would he?


So, thank you for mentioning this Alice band last time, because otherwise I would have propably thought that Umbridge was wearing just some sort of a band and wouldn't have looked it up in pictures. Thanks a lot

Thanks for the details on the Alice band! Now we know all about them, don't we (And I do think Beckham is wearing a fabric band in this picture, not a plastic one.) Anyways, it's very good you bothered to look it up!
